Mirpur Agricultural Workshop and Training School (MAWTS) is a Trust of Caritas Bangladesh. MAWTS was established in 1973 with the support of Caritas Bangladesh and Caritas Switzerland and aimed to train the rural youth for the maintenance of vehicles and equipment used in relief and reconstruction work immediately during the post-liberation period. Since its inception, MAWTS has been imparting market-oriented vocational and technical training to rural & urban youths. MAWTS is a not-for-profit independent organization with all legal coverage. Over the years, it has demonstrated its capabilities in providing quality training under well-planned and market-tested curricula. MAWTS has been a partner in all initiatives of the Government of Bangladesh in responding to poverty reduction and ensuring the right to education for the poor, marginalized & ethnic youth groups. Since 1973, MAWTS has focused on youth integration through quality vocational skills and employment in the country & abroad.
 
Program Description:
MAWTS has recently started the Japanese Language course for employment in Japan. Students will be skilled in Japanese language levels N5 and N4 through this course. Besides language courses, students also will be skilled in different occupations such as Nursing Caregiver, Agriculture & Construction sector. After completion of the Japanese language levels, the students will appear in the Japan Foundation Test (JFT) and skill Test. After qualifying for the JFT and skill test, students will be prepared for the job interview for employment in Japan.
 
The activity will focus on the following MAWTS objective; To build youth-skilled manpower for employment abroad and participation in increasing national economic growth.
 
Position Description:
MAWTS is seeking some qualified Japanese Language Teachers to conduct language courses and skill training in the Nursing Caregiver, Agriculture & Construction sectors and operational support to ensure the seamless execution of project activities and position reports to the implementation Director.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
1.      Preparing students for JFT and Skill test qualifying
2.      Can Teach Irodori (JFT) Curriculum for job visa application & follow-up learning activities.
3.      Arranging class schedules and attendance.
4.      Planning and preparing lessons
5.      Encouraging student participation
6.      Researching and developing new teaching methods
7.      Researching and implementing new teaching methods
8.      Marking student work and recording performance
9.      Preparing the student to face the Japanese company interview
10. Conduct the MOC test and analyze the result
11. Setting assessments and overseeing examinations
12. Enrollment of the students for JFT and Skill exam.
 
Required qualification:
·        Education qualification Minimum HSC passed or bachelor's degree.
·        Japan Foundation Test (JFT) qualified and any one of the skills passed as mentioned in the circular.
·        At least six months of Japanese language teaching experience. Candidates who have over six months of teaching experience will be given preference.
·        Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package & Internet browsing.
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·        Ability and willingness to work under pressure as required by MAWTS
